    Freezable Basil Pesto

    List of Ingredients

    8 c. basil leaves
    1 c. walnuts
    2 garlic cloves (chopped)
    2/3 c. olive oil


    Toast nuts at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.

    Boil a pot of salted water. Submerge basil with a spoon and then drain immediately. Rinse with cold water until it's cool. Dry on paper towels.

    In a food processor, combine basil, walnuts, and garlic. Process until smooth. Through the feed tube, slowly add the olive oil until combined.

    Spoon into ice cube trays. Once frozen, pack into freezer bags. When you use the pesto, add Parmesan cheese.
