    List of Ingredients


    • 2 big spanish onions
    • 1 cup all purpose flour
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. paprika
    • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    • 1 egg beaten
    • 3/4 cup beer (room temperature)
    • Oil for frying


    Instructions


    1. Peel onions and cut into 1/2" strips
      Seperate and set aside
    2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, paprika, Cayenne pepper, dry mustard and beaten egg
    3. Wisk in beer and mix well
    4. In a deep skillet add about 2" oil untilsmall bubbles begin to break the surface (test witha wooden spook, if bubbles appear it is ready).
    5. Dip onions into flour mixture and fry in small batches until golden brown ( about 3 minutes).
    6. Drain on paper towel and serve.
    7. Freezes very well
