Cookies: Butter Snowballs *

List of Ingredients

1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon almond extract OR 2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 cups finely chopped nuts


Recipe

Mix butter with sugar til creamy. Add salt, extract, flour and nuts. Refrigerate till easy to handle. Heat oven to 350�F. Shape dough into 1" balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or til light brown. While cookies are warm, roll in powdered sugar. When cool, roll again in powder sugar. Makes 4-5 dozen. Will keep well.
