    Elk: Quick Elk Roast

    1 lb. elk roast�
    1 can cream of mushroom soup�
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix�
    1 cup red wine�
    tablespoon rosemary
    3 cloves chopped garlic
    cup each Fresh mushrooms and onions sliced.�
    Oil for browning�

    Recipe



    Sear roast in skillet.� Put in Crockpot on low. add cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix.�Add 1 cup red wine. Cook in crockpot for six hours.�Add mushrooms and onions. Cook one more hour.� This can be salty at times. To avoid that only add half of the onion soup mix, and add some water to dilute the salty taste.
