Indian Spiced Green Beans

From member kkey22850: Enjoy. A friend from south India makes a fat-added version of this. I modified her recipe. With the spices I don�t miss the salt. These freeze well in individual serving sizes.
List of Ingredients
� 1 large onion � diced
� 1 large �Family Size� frozen green beans
� 2 cloves garlic - minced
� Turmeric
� Ginger powder (or use grated fresh ginger root)
� Chili powderRecipe
Brown the onion in a large pan that has a lid. If this begins to burn before browning, add a bit of water, cover and continue to cook.
Mix all the dry spices together. (Seena doesn�t measure anything. I�ll measure this the next time I make it.) Add to onions.
Add green beans and garlic. Cover and cook until done. Divide into single servings and freeze for later use. FYI � if you have an Indian Food Store in your area, the spices are typically fresher and very cheap.
