    Spirited: Mango Mimosas

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 firm-ripe mango
    • 1/2 cup orange juice
    • 1 to 2 Tbsp lime or lemon juice (optional)
    • 1/2 cup small ice cubes (optional)
    • 1 bottle chilled sparkling wine


    Instructions


    1. Peel mango and cut fruit from pit into a blender. Add orange juice. Whirl until fruit is smoothly pur�ed. Taste, and if the flavor is a little flat, add 1 or 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice. If fruit is at room temperature, also whirl in about 1/2 cup small ice cubes.

      Make mimosas by the pitcher or by the glass. The fruit pur�e makes the wine fizz madly, so pour slowly and stir down some of the bubbles. In a large pitcher, combine pur�e and 1 bottle chilled sparkling wine. Or fill glasses (about 1-cup size) about one-third with pur�e, then add wine.

      Makes 6 to 8 servings.
