LOWCOUNTRY BBQ SHRIMP

List of Ingredients
1 T. Oil
4 oz. local country ham
8 each jumbo shrimp
1/4 each red & green bell peppers
3 T. light brown sugar
3 T. dark brown sugar
2 oz. molasses
1 cup water
1/4 t. crushed red pepper
1/4 t. dried thyme
3 T. butter
2 oz. balsamic vinegar
3 T. corn starch
1 oz. heavy cream
Recipe
Render country ham in oil, then add shrimp and peppers.
Remove shrimp and add next set of ingredients and bring to a boil.
Mix cold vinegar with corn starch to form a slurry and whisk into boiling liquid
Return shrimp to pan and add cream
Bring to a boil once more.
Serve with grits
