    Mamrelund Lutheran Church Cookbook (1981)

    Recipe Introduction

    For those of us that live along the Mississippi River, we appreciate this recipe! It is recommended.

    List of Ingredients

    2 sticks butter
    2 c sugar
    4 eggs
    1 t vanilla
    1 1/2 c flour
    2 T cocoa
    1 1/2 c coconut
    1 1/2 c pecans

    1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme

    Frosting Ingredients:

    1 stick butter
    1/2 c evaporated milk
    1 box powdered sugar (I used small box)
    1 t vanilla
    1/3 c cocoa


    Cream together butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour and cocoa. Add to above. Stir in coconut and pecans. Bake in jelly roll pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350* F 15-20 minutes. While warm, spread on one 7 oz jar of marshmallow creme.

    Then frost with the following frosting:

    Mix until smooth; pour over marshmallow and swirl to give a muddy effect.
