Recipe Introduction


This is my Favorite carrot cake.


List of Ingredients




2 cups grated carrots
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Cook and boil the above ingredients for 5 minutes; let cool.

Add to the above when it is cool:
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
pinch salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups flour


Recipe



Mix until all flour is incorporated, pour into greased 8x10 cake pan and bake 350 degree pan (325 glass pan) for aprox 45 minutes. Delicious with cream cheese frosting.
