    TOFU REPLACEMENT FOR CHICKEN OR BEEF

    Recipe Introduction


    This was suggested to me by azlinda at Recipe Goldmine, when I was wanting to try another recipe with Chicken. She said she personally has used it successfully. I haven't done it this way yet (it was a rather recent post), but HAVE sliced it and baked it plain, or brushed with a barbecue-type sauce. It's pretty good, though I'm sure it doesn't REALLY taste like chicken!!

    List of Ingredients




    1/3 C. vegetable oil
    2 T. soy sauce
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    16 oz. firm tofu, diced 1/4-inch

    Recipe



    In a baking pan, whisk together the oil, soy sauce and garlic powder. Add tofu. Bake at 350�F for 30 minutes, turning the tofu once. Immediately drain on paper towels. Clear oil will remain, with the flavors having been absorbed.
