Wild Willy's Number One Rub

"This is an all-purpose rub, good on ribs, brisket, chicken and more."


List of Ingredients




3/4 cup paprika, (see Paprika Tip)
1/4 cup ground black pepper
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons chili powder
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
2 Tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Recipe



Mix the spices thoroughly in a bowl. Store in a airtight jar in a cool. dark pantry.

Makes about 2 Cups

Paprika Tip: Derived from a mild chili pepper, paprika is a common dry rub ingredient. Most store-bought varieties have as much flavor as redwood sawdust and used just to add color, but with a little effort you can find a good Hungraian product. Be warned, when you find it, it will have taste.
