    Chocolate Cherry Bars

    List of Ingredients

    1 pkg. devils food cake mix with pudding
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 eggs, beaten

    5 Tbsp. margarine
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. milk

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 15x11 inch jelly roll pan or a 13x9 inch pan. Stir by hand, base ingredients till well mixed. Pour into pan. Bake jelly roll pan 20 to 30 minutes (13x9 inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes), or until a toothpick in center comes out clean. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, margarine, and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Pour over warm bars.
