    Peach Cobbler

    List of Ingredients

    1 lg. can sliced peaches drained
    1 T. lemon juice
    1 t. baking powder
    3 T. butter
    1/2 C. milk
    1 C. boiling water
    1 t. cinnamon
    1 C. flour
    1/2 t. salt
    1 1/4 C. sugar 1 T. cornstarch

    Instructions :
    Grease a 9 inch square pan, line bottom with peaches. Sprinkle with cinnamon and
    lemon juice. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside. Cream butter, and
    3/4 cup sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Spread batter over peaches. Combine remaining sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle
    over batter. Pour 1 cup of boiling water slowly over batter and bake at 350 degrees for
    1 hour. This recipe may be doubled, but bake a little longer.
