    Egg rolls

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 pound ground pork
    1/2 pound shrimps, chopped fine
    1/2 cup chopped water chestnuts
    1/2 cup green onions, chopped fine
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon ground pepper
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
    1 package egg roll wrappers
    (sold in Asian stores as Won-ton wrapper)
    1 cup cooking oil


    1.In a big bowl, combine all ingredients except the egg roll wrappers and cooking oil.
    2.This is the filling for the lumpia.
    3.Place a level teaspoon of filling on each egg roll wrapper.
    Wet each side of the wrapper with water and roll.
    4.Pinch each side to seal.
    5.Deep fry in hot oil and drain on paper towel.
    6.Serve with sweet and sour sauce.

    Sweet and Sour Sauce

    2 cups of water
    1/2 cup catsup
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 cup water


    1.Mix all ingredients.
    2.Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.
    3.Yields 2 to 3 cups.
