    Taffy Apple Salad

    List of Ingredients

    4 to 5 apples, cored and cut up
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    8 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 cup dry roasted peanuts, crushed
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tbsp. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

    Combine sugar, flour, egg, vinegar, and pineapple juice in saucepan. Cook until smooth; will look like pudding. Cool. Add cut up apples to mixture and stir so apples are coated. Fold in remaining ingredients and refrigerate for several hours so flavors will blend. Do not cut apples until ready to add to dressing, as they
    will not turn brown if added to dressing as soon as they are cut up.
