    Boiled Spice Cake


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups white sugar
    • 2 cups raisins
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup margarine
    • 2 tsp cinnamon
    • 2 tsp cloves
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Mix above ingredients together and boil for 5 minutes. Cool and then add.
    • 3 cups flour
    • 2 tsp soda
    • 1 cup walnuts (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Bake in greased and floured 9 X 13 pan in a 325 oven for 30 minutes. Ice with butter frosting or cream cheese icing.
