    1/2 head romaine lettuce
    1 cup fresh spinach
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 pound mushrooms -- thinly sliced
    1/2 cup celery -- thinly sliced
    10 ounce package frozen peas -- thawed
    salt and pepper
    1/2 cup light mayonnaise
    1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
    1/4 cup bacon bits

    Recipe



    Tear romaine and spinach into bite sized pieces. In a 2 quart bowl, layer lettuce, spinach, onions, mushrooms, celery, and peas; very lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    In a small bowl blend mayonnaise, lemon juice, and dill. Spoon over peas; cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.

    Before serving, sprinkle with bacon and toss.

    Serves: 8
