    1/2 pound extra lean ground beef
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped onions
    2 cloves minced garlic
    2 cans fat-free chicken or beef broth
    1 can condensed reduced fat tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
    2 packages onion soup mix
    1 bay leaf
    pepper to taste
    3/4 cup baby shells -- uncooked

    Recipe



    Brown the ground beef; remove from skillet. Saute the celery, onions, garlic, and carrots until the onions are translucent. (Add a little water to the skillet, if necessary.)

    Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until the veggies are tender. (About 45 minutes.) Add the baby shells and serve.

    Serves: 8
