I can't believe I didn't have this listed with my recipes.
I've been making these for 30 years.Almost panicked when I thought I'd lost it. I know it by heart,but sometimers makes me double check. ;-))


List of Ingredients




1-lb butter, softened
1 pint vanilla ice creamed,softened
4 cups all purpose flour, don't sift
fruit filling, I use preserves.

cream butter and ice cream together till smooth. add flour a little at a time. mixing well. Pinch off sm. ballof dough size of a quarter.Put on cookie sheet, make indent with thumb. fill centers with fruit fillig.** Bake @ 350� for 20-25 mins.When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar.

** a baby food spoon is the perfect size and amount to use for filling.
