    Refrigerator Rolls

    List of Ingredients

    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 cup warm water
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 T salt
    1 1/2 cup scalded milk
    2 eggs
    7 - 7 1/2 cup flour


    Soften yeast in warm water.
    Combine sugar, shortening, salt and milk in large bowl.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Blend in eggs and yeast.
    Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough.
    Knead on floured surface 3-5 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hr
    Punch down dough.
    Cover. Store in refrigerator at least 2 hrs.
    Shape dough into rolls.
    Cover and let rise again in warm place until doubled about 2 hrs.
    Bake at 400 for 10-15 min. until golden brown.
