Impossible Taco Pie

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion -- 1 medium onion
1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning mix
4 1/2 ounces chopped green chiles -- drained
1/2 cup Bisquick® baking mix
1 cup milk
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese -- or Monterey Jack cheese, 3 ounces
salsa -- optional
sour cream -- optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. Cook beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix. Spread in pie plate. Top with chiles.
Stir Bisquick, milk and eggs in medium bowl with a wire whisk or fork until blended. Pour into pie plate.
Bake about 25 minutes or until knive inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 2 to 3 minutes more. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with salsa and sour cream, if desired.
