    List of Ingredients

    4 egg yolks
    3 tablespoons water
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup flour -- scant
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    4 egg whites

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Beat egg yolks until thick and light yellow. Add water ad sugar and beat well. Mix and sift flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt. Add this, then fold in stiffly beat egg whites and vanilla. Bake in 4 thin layers for 15 minutes. Put cream filling between layers. Sift powdered sugar over top, or frost with powdered sugar frosting.
