    Crisco Pie Crust Mix

    An easy way to have a pie crust made in no time.

    6 cups flour, Pillsbury preferred
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 1/3 cups CriscoŽ vegetable shortening


    Whisk together the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. You could also use your KitchenAid mixer to do this.

    Cut in shortening using two table knives or your mixer.

    Measure out the amount of mix needed for your recipe. Add cold water and mix until the dough forms a ball. Do not over mix the pastry dough.

    Use in your favorite pie recipe.

    One Crust: 1 1/2 cups mix and 3 tablespoons water.
    Double Crust: 2 1/4 cups mix and 4 to 5 tablespoons water.
