Super Easy Fresh Strawberry Jam

1 cup fresh strawberries, or other berries, washed and drained
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
To cook in a microwave, combine the berries, sugar and lemon juice in a glass bol. Mash the berries into the sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Cook, uncovered, on high for 5 minutes. Stir jam mixture, scraping sides, and then cook for another 1 to 3 minutes.
For stove-top cooking, combine the above ingredients in a non-aluminum saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat 5 to 8 minutes, until thickened.
Pour jam into serving dish and serve.
Makes about 1 cup.
