    Bisquick Chicken Pot Pie

    List of Ingredients

    1/4 cup chicken fat, butter or margarine
    1/4 cup Bisquick
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    2 cups chicken broth or stock (saved from stewing chicken if possible)
    2/3 cup cream
    3 to 4 cups cooked chicken, cut in large pieces
    2 cups Bisquick
    1/4 cup chicken fat
    1/2 cup milk


    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a 11 x 7-inch baking pan with
    nonstick cooking spray.

    Heat chicken fat and blend in 1/4 cup Bisquick, salt and pepper.
    Remove from heat; stir in chicken stock or broth. Cook over low heat
    until thickened (about 5 minutes).

    In mixing bowl, mix vigorously with fork, 2 cups Bisquick, 1/4 cup
    chicken fat andmilk. Knead 8 to 10 times on surface lightly dusted
    with flour. Pat or roll dough to fit top of baking dish. Cut 2 or 3
    slits in top of dough. Pour hot filling into baking dish. Cover with
    dough. Bake about 15 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
