    Quick Breakfast Syrups

    1/2 cup jam -- preserves or jelly can be used, any flavor
    3 tablespoons honey -- up to 4 tablespoons total
    1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    dash cinnamon or nutmeg -- optional

    Melt the jam, preserves or jelly over very low heat in a small
    saucepan; stir continuously. When the jam is liquified, stir in the
    honey and lemon juice; heat through. Add a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon,
    if desired. Serve over pancakes, waffles or French Toast.

    Makes 3/4 cup
