    Buttercrisp Oaties

    This recipe came off the back of a butterscotch chip bag years ago...they are so good.

    List of Ingredients

    1 6 oz. butterscotch chips
    3/4 cup butter
    2 tablespoons boiling water
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 cups quick oats (don't use regular)
    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt


    Preheat oven to 350. Melt chips and butter together in MW on HIGH for 2-3 minutes. In small measuring cup,combine boiling water and baking soda. Add to butterscotch mixture. Stir in oats, flour, sugar and salt. Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. These will spread. Bake for 10 minutes. Yields 4 1/2 dozen 2 1/2" cookies.
