    Recipe Introduction

    This recipe has been around for quite a while, but it gets rave reviews everytime I've served it. You can be quite creative with it - use different kinds of pudding or add fruit such as strawberries, bananas to complement the pudding flavor.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup nuts -- finely chopped
    1 8 oz. light cream cheese
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup Cool Whip®
    3 cups milk
    2 3 oz. instant pudding mix
    1 pint Cool Whip®


    First Layer: Cut 1 cube butter into 1 cup flour. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Press in 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool well.
    Second Layer: Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and 1 cup Cool Whip. Spread on first layer.
    Third Layer: Mix 3 c. milk with pudding of your choice. (If you use banana pudding, slice some bananas on second layer before adding pudding). Top with pudding. Cover whole dish with remaining Cool whip and sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds or chopped walnuts.
