    Stuffed Flank Teriyaki

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 pounds Beef flank
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup cooking oil
    2 tablespoons molasses
    2 teaspoons dry mustard
    1 dash ginger
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup long grain rice
    1 medium carrot -- shredded
    1/2 cup water chestnuts -- sliced
    1/4 cup green onion -- sliced


    Cut pocket in steak. Combine soy sauce through garlic. Place meat in shallow baking dish and pour marinade in pocket and over meat. Let stand at room temperature for 30 min to 1 hour turning meat occasionally. Meanwhile, in small saucepan combine rice, water and rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat, simmer 8 minutes. Remove from heat; set aside. Drain meat reserving marinade. Add 1/4 cup marinade to rice mixture. Spoon rice stuffing into pocket of meat. Secure end with wooden toothpicks. Place meat in shallow roasting pan. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour, brushing occasionally with marinade. Uncover 15 minutes before end to brown up a little. Serves 4
