Banana Jello Salad
List of Ingredients
1 package lemon jello -- (3 oz)
1 package orange jello -- (3 oz)
1 1/2 cups boiling water
12 large ice cubes
1 #2 can crushed pineapple, drained -- reserve juice
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 pint whipping cream
Slice bananas over bottom of 9x13 glass pan. Spread drained crushed pineapple over bananas. Cover completely with small marshmallows. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Gently toss in ice cubes and stir until melted. Pour gelatin mixture over marshmallows and place in fridge.
Topping: In a small saucepan, stir together egg, sugar and flour. Add reserved juice (1 cup). Cook until boiling and thickened. Allow to cool. (I put a sheet of saran wrap right on top of the pudding as it cools so it doesn't form crust on top.) Whip the whipping cream. Add pudding mixture. Spread over top of jello. Chill and serve.
