    Homemade Chicken Pot Pie

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 stick margarine
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/3 cup plain flour
    3/4 teasp. black pepper
    1/4 teasp. salt
    1/2 cup chicken broth
    1/2 cup milk
    2 10 oz size chunk chicken
    1 15 oz can mixed vegetables-drained
    2 deep dish pie crusts


    In a large skillet, sautee onion in melted butter for 2 minutes. Add flour, pepper,& salt stirring frequently, bring to a simmer. Add milk, and broth, bring to a boil.
    Add chicken and vegetables. Remove from heat and pour into 1 of the pie crusts. Prick the other crust with a fork several times and use it to top the one containing the chicken mixture. Leave the pie tin on the top crust for half the baking time, then remove to finish browning. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-40 minutes till crust is golden brown.
