Great texture on these wonderful sugar cookies. My friend Sue Betlach gave me this recipe in the late 70s, and our family has been making them as our Christmas sugar cookie ever since.
List of Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
Beat all ingredients together. Add:
4cup plus 4 Tbs. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients into sugar/egg/oil mixture. Shape into balls. Roll in granulated sugar & flatten with a glass.
Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned at edges.
