    Grill: Portobello Burgers - - e-w

    Cooking For 2 � T. Sabbagh; Winston-Salem, NC
    Portobello Burgers - 2 - e-w
    Serves: 2

    2 T. balsamic vinegar
    1 T. olive oil
    3 garlic cloves
    1-1/2 tsp. minced fresh basil � or � 1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1-1/2 tsp. fresh minced oregano � or � 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    Dash salt
    Dash pepper

    2 large Portobello mushrooms, stems removed
    2 slices reduced-fat provolone cheese
    2 hamburger buns, split
    2 lettuce leaves
    2 sliced tomatoes

    In a bowl whisk the first 7 ingredients. Add mushrooms caps; let stand for 15 minutes, turning twice.

    Coat Grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting grill. Drain and reserve marinade. Grill mushrooms, covered, over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until tender, basting with reserved marinade. Top with cheese during the last 2 minutes. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.
