    Black Bean Dip

    BLACK BEAN DIP
    For pita chips or baked tortilla chips
    Makes about 1-3/4 cups

    1 can (15 oz.) black beans, drained and rinsed
    1/4 cup minced onions
    2 tbsp. chopped, fresh cilantro
    1 tbsp. lime juice
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. ground coriander
    1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/3 cup low-fat sour cream

    Combine all ingredients except sour cream in a blender or food processor and whirl until smooth. Transfer mixture to a small bowl and stir in sour cream. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

    Per serving (1/4 cup): 51 calories, 0.8 g fat, (0.1 g saturated fat), .7 g protein, 11.3 g carbohydrate, 3.5 g fiber, 0.8 mg cholesterol, 28.3 mg sodium % calories from fat: 10
