    Fresh fruit is one of summer's luxuries. This easy make-ahead salad features a spectacular combination of seven different kinds of fruit.

    Plan ahead...needs to chill at least 4 hours.

    Recipe

    Fresh Fruit Salad wih Citrus Sauce
    Exchanges
    Makes 4 side-dish servings.

    1/3 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon or lime juice
    1 Tbsp. orange juice
    1 medium peach, peeled, pitted, and sliced (1 cup)
    1 medium nectarine, pitted and sliced (1 cup)
    1/2 cup honeydew melon chunks
    1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
    1/2 cup blueberries
    1 medium banana, sliced
    1/2 cup sliced strawberries

    In a small saucepan, heat and stir sugar, water, lemon juice, and orange juice over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until completely chilled.

    In a large bowl, combine peach slices, nectarine slices, honeydew chunks, pineapple chunks, and blueberries. Pour chilled juice mixture over fruit; stir gently. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 4
    hours.

    To serve: stir in banana and strawberries.

    Per serving: 152 calories; 1 g total fat (0 g saturated fat); 0 mg cholesterol; 5 mg sodium; 39 g carbohydrate; 3 g fiber, and 1 g protein ++++ Exchanges: 1 other carbohydrate, 1-1/2 fruit.
