    Cream Cheese Brownies

    List of Ingredients

    • 4 oz. German sweet chocolate
    • 3 T. butter, softened
    • 2 eggs
    • 3/4 c. sugar
    • 1/2 t. baking powder
    • 1/4 t. salt
    • 1/2 c. flour
    • 1 t. vanilla
    • 1/4 t. almond extract
    • 1/2 c. nuts, optional
    • 3 oz. cream cheese
    • 2 T. butter, softened
    • 1/4 c. sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 T. flour
    • 1/2 t. vanilla


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. CHOCOLATE BATTER:Melt German sweet chocolate and butter over very low heat, cool. In a separate bowl, beat eggs until light; add sugar and beat until thickened. Add baking powder, salt and flour. Blend in chocolate mixture, vanilla, almond extract and nuts.

    3. CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE:Cream butter with cream cheese; add sugar. Blend in egg, flour and vanilla.

    4. Spread half of the chocolate batter in a greased 8 or 9 inch pan. Top with cream cheese mixture. Spoon the rest of the chocolate batter on top. Swirl with a knife.

    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
