    List of Ingredients

    • 12 large cucumbers, sliced
    • 6 onions, sliced
    • 1 pint vinegar
    • 2 c. sugar
    • 1 t. pepper
    • 1 t. ginger
    • 1 t. mustard seed
    • 1/2 t. turmeric
    • 1 t. celery seed


    1. Place cucumbers and onions in a large bowl of salt water and soak for 1 hour; drain.
    2. In a large kettle, mix together vinegar, sugar, pepper, ginger, mustard seed, turmeric and celery seed; bring to a boil. Add cucumbers and onions; boil for 10 minutes.
    3. Put pickles in pint jars leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
    4. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
