    List of Ingredients

    • 4 lbs. med. cucumbers
    • 3-1/2 T. salt
    • 1-1/2 T. mustard seed
    • 1-1/2 T. bay leaves
    • 3 c. vinegar
    • 3 c. water
    • 6 cloves garlic


    1. Wash cucumbers and cut each in quarters lengthwise and put in a large bowl. Add salt, mustard seed and bay leaves.
    2. Heat vinegar and water to boiling; pour over cucumbers. Cover and allow to stand for 20 minutes.
    3. Pack cucumbers immediately into hot sterilized jars. Cover with vinegar solution leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Add a garlic clove to each pint jar.
    4. Seal and process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
