    Recipe Introduction

    At the end of every sorority year, Barb Davenport would host the meeting with a light dinner. She started serving this chicken salad on croissants. We all loved it so much, we request it every year.

    List of Ingredients

    4 cups cooked chicken, cubed
    2 cup celery, chopped
    3/4 cup sliced green onions
    1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1/4 cup sour cream
    1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
    1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon celery salt
    1/8 teaspoon dried mustard
    1/8 teaspoon paprika
    1-1/2 cups seedless grapes, halved
    1/2 cup cashews halves


    In a large bowl, combine chicken, celery and onions.

    In another bowl combine the next 9 ingredients. Stir until smooth. Pour over the chicken mixture and toss gently.

    Shortly before serving, stir in the grapes and cashews.

    Serve on croissants.
