Fried Herb Mushrooms wHorseradish Sauce
List of Ingredients
Herb Cheese Filling
1 pkg Boursin Herbed Cheese
6 to 8 large button mushrooms
1 cup flour
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 t cayenne pepper
1/2 c milk
veggie oil for frying
1/2 c mayo
2 t grey poupon mustard
1 t white vinegar
2 t prepared horseradish...not the sauce..the real stuff
1/2 t sugar
MIx and chill.
Bring Boursin Cheese to room temperature.
After cleaning mushrooms remove the stems and use a
teaspoon to fill the mushrooms with the herbed cheese.
Mix the flour with salt and cayenne pepper. Dip each
mushroom in the milk and then in the flour mixture...do this
so each mushroom is dipped twice.
Put mushrooms into the freezer for 3 hours or more so
the coating stays on. and the cheese won't ooze out before
Make the dipping sauce by mixing all ingredients and keep covered
When shrooms are frozen...fry in a deep fryer at 350
for 8 to 10 minutes and golden brown.
Drain on a rack or paper towels...Let sit a couple minutes
Serve w Sauce.
