    Lasagna Roll Ups (w Meat)

    List of Ingredients





    Meat sauce:
    2 lbs ground beef
    1/3 cup finely chopped onion
    3 cloves minced garlic
    2 tsp salt (more if your taste needs it)
    1/2 tsp pepper
    4 whole cloves
    2 dry bay leaves
    2 quart or 64 oz. crushed plum (Italian) tomatoes
    4 6 oz cans tomato paste
    2 1/2 cups water
    1 1/2 teaspoon crushed dried oregano
    1 teaspoon basil
    1/4 cup sugar

    Filling:
    2 lbs ricotta cheese
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1/2 tap ground nutmeg
    1/2 lb Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    1 tbs. chopped or crushed parsley
    1 (1 lb)pkg lasagna noodles

    Recipe




    Sprinkle salt in bottom of large sauce pan, turn on medium , then crumble in the ground
    meat. This makes its own liquid and you do not have to add extra oil. Add onion, garlic,
    salt, pepper. Brown. Stir in rest of the ingredients for the meat sauce. Simmer for 1 hour,
    stirring occasionally.

    In the meantime, Mix the cheeses and spices. Cook noodles until done. Rinse with cold water and
    drain. Lay noodles on clean dish towels.

    On each noodle, spread 1/3 cup of filling. Fold over 1" and continue to roll. Place 1 1/2 cup of meat sauce in 11 x 18 pan lightly sprayed with Pam. Place rolled up noodles in pan, top with more meat sauce .

    Bake for one hour at 350 degrees or until sauce bubbles in center of pan.

    Serve with the rest of the sauce and grated Parmesan, a salad and Bread.
