    Cheesy Potatoes and Franks

    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. Crisco
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded process American cheese
    1 tbsp. prepared mustard
    1/2 lb. frankfurters
    3 c. sliced potatoes


    In saucepan, cook onion in hot Crisco until tender; stir in flour and salt. Add milk; cook and stir over low heat until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in cheese and mustard. Cut frankfurters in 1/4 inch slices.
    In greased 2 quart casserole, arrange layers of half the potatoes, frankfurters and cheese sauce; repeat layers. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Makes 6-8 servings.
