    Makes approximately 50 cookies.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tablespoon ginger
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 cup shortening (or butter)
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup molasses (or honey)


    Instructions


    1. Cream shortening and sugar, and add egg and molasses.
    2. Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar.
    3. Combine mixtures.
    4. Roll dough into balls, and roll in sugar. Place on greased pan.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
