1 small can evaporated milk (5-oz. size)
1 bag caramels (14-oz. size)
1 (12-oz.) bag chocolate chips
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 box German Chocolate cake mix
Melt caramels with 1/2 can evaporated milk over low high. DO NOT overcook. Mix cake mix with remaining evaporated milk and melted butter. Do not follow directions on cake box. Spread half of cake mixture in bottom of 9x13" greased pan. Bake for 8 minutes at 350°F. Remove cake from oven and pour chocolate chips over it. Spread the chips when melted. Then pour the caramel mixture over that. Dab rest of the cake mix over that and bake 14 minutes more at 350°F. Chill before cutting into bars.
