    Layered Taco Casserole

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 2T. butter
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 2T. diced green chilies
    • 1c. (8 oz) tomato sauce
    • 1 pkg. (14 oz) taco seasoning mix
    • 1/2c. water
    • 2 eggs
    • 1c. milk
    • 1 (6 oz) pkg. Fritos
    • 8 oz. Monterey Jack, shredded
    • 1c. sour cream
    • 1/2c. grated Cheddar cheese


    1. Brown beef and drain. Saute onion and pepper in butter and mix with meat. Combine tomato sauce, taco seasoning and water.
    2. Beat eggs, and milk, add to tomato sauce stirring constantly.
    3. Layer in 2 qt. casserole: Fritos, meat, sauce and Monterey Jack cheese. Repeat layers.
    4. Cook at 350 until done. Spread sour cream on top, then cheddar cheese.
    5. Cook until cheese is melted.
    6. Serves:6
