    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4c. all purpose flour
    • 1t. salt
    • 1/4t. pepper
    • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef round steak, trimmed
    • 2T. vegetable oil
    • 1c. chopped celery
    • 1c. chopped onion
    • 1/2lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    • 1c. water
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 1T. steak sauce


    1. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Cut steak into serving-size pieces; dredge in flour mixture.
    2. In a skillet, brown steak in oil. Drain and place in a 2 1/2 qt. casserole.
    3. Top with celery, onion and mushrooms. Combine water, garlic and steak sauce; pour over vegetables.
    4. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
    5. Yield: 6 servings.
