    Preheat oven at 350*F

    1 cup Sugar
    1 cup Powdered Sugar
    1 cup Vegetable oil
    1 cup butter or Margarine (softened)
    2 Eggs
    1 teaspoon Vanilla
    4 1/2 cups Flour
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    1 teaspoon Baking Soda
    1 teaspoon Cream of Tarter
    1 teaspoon Nutmeg, optional (I leave it out)

    In large bowl, cream together sugars, oil and butter; add eggs and beat well. Stir in Vanilla. In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tarter and nutmeg; Blend thoroughly. Stir into creamed mixture; mix well. Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet; Press down with bottom of glass that is greased and dipped in sugar. Bake at 350* F until edges are brown. (9 to 12 minutes).
