    Yield: 6 servings

    1 lb beef shanks
    3 c water
    1 ts salt
    4 whole peppercorns
    1 cn tomatoes
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    2 carrots sliced
    1 pk frozen vegetab1es,
    3 stalks celery with tops
    2 md onions, diced
    2 md potatoes diced

    Put all ingredients in crock-pot. Cover and cook on Low 12 hours
    High: 4 to 6 hours.
