    Any deer meat not suitable for steaks and roasts can be used for this recipe. The amount of deer meat to be used of course depends on the size of the family the cook is cooking for. For a family of four the following recipe is advisable.

    Cut 2 1/2 lbs of venison into one inch cubes. Place cubes in hot fat until brown. Add enough water for the desired amount of gravy. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then add one large onion finely chopped, 1/2 green pepper finely chopped, and finally one stalk of celery finely chopped. Stew slowly until the meat is really tender. Finally thicken gravy with flour to the desired thickness. Serve with hot corn sticks and plenty of coffee for a venison feast deluxe.
