    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
    • 1 package (6 ounces) of semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 3/4 cup of sugar
    • 2/3 cup of all purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)


    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Heat butter and 1 package chocolate chips in a 2 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted; remove from heat.
    3. Stir in other remaining ingredients, except optional nuts or chocolate chips, until smooth.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees until center is set (about 30 minutes)

    Final Comments

    Makes approximately 20 brownies. Store tightly covered.
